Off to the shelf to dry for a week, photo in bad light of best when wet. New black, five parts black, two parts sienna and umber each, one part fire engine red, so far…
Current plan: when canvas and glue/acrylic ink completely dry, watercolor maybe, I know how gouache leaches, watercolor ink?

i’m glad photography allows you to use the first step and keep it, too. this is beauty like the beach-washed bones of a creature made aesthetic by death and erosion. i saw some “art” made by some fit toyboy who probably ____ the gallerist’s _______ and i wanted to pull up in front of your house at 3am and say jeff, come, let’s go fuck that gallery up, man. you’d hop in the bohemian pick-up truck (no rifle rack or cracker decals) with your axe (or rake) and we’d ride over there (NY) and smash some shit up and leave a mysterious sigil. i like the idea of post-65 vandals on a serious mission
